Our vision is to develop and maintain a well known and highly regarded Restaurant that is reputed in all circles of the community for friendly efficient service and the ability to make the impossible possible. To ensure the perpetual achievement of this vision, we have made it our objective to obtain and maintain the best personnel possible and to continually offer our guests only the highest quality products and service. Gary Macris first established the concept of “Greek Yum-Cha” in his restaurant “Enigma 88” at Brighton Le-Sands in 1997. While in this smaller restaurant, Gary developed his cooking style and developed modern and creative ways of presenting traditional Greek cuisine. With the help of family and friends, Gary’s concept took shape. Before long, Enigma 88 was buzzing and “Greek Yum-Cha” had become the talk of the town.Eight years later, and with much experience under his belt, Gary opened OPAH and again created a thriving, innovative restaurant in the heart of Cronulla. Today, OPAH has been operating for three years with great success. He has also gone a step further and opened another restaurant specialising in Fresh Seafood dishes. The Restaurant “Splash” is located just downstairs from OPAH and is well patronised by those seeking out fresh seafood at realistic prices.
Facilities and Services provided at OPAH
We seat approximately 130 people in the restaurant on our more popular nights (Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday daytime). The front out side balcony area holds approximately 30 people and the new smoking/cocktail area is intended for approximately 50 standing guests.We cater for private functions, which range from weddings, 21st Birthday Parties, New Years Eve events to smaller scale cocktail parties, which may consist of approximately 20 people. In the instance that there are smaller cocktail parties the restaurant will run as usual. Despite this we can also cater for up to 200 standing guest for more relaxed cocktail style events too.
We have numerous options for guest looking to hold an event at our restaurant. Anything from corporate functions, buffet style, to specialised weddings where a design team will dress the venue to suit client needs. OPAH is looking to improve its client base, also aiming to improve overall customer satisfaction so as to improve return rates. We are not just looking at selling a meal.
